Geosystems Hellas at IGARSS 2024 in Athens

Geosystems Hellas participated in the 2024 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS24), which took place from July 7th to July 12th in Athens, Greece. The company’s presence with a Booth allowed to interact with visitors and gave the opportunity to present its latest technologies and solutions to a diverse audience from all over the world.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for Geosystems Hellas to connect with numerous professionals in the field of geoscience and remote sensing. GSH engaged in productive discussions about its innovative products and explored how its solutions could support various projects and research endeavors. These interactions fostered meaningful connections and potential collaborations, reinforcing the company’s role in the industry.

 

Betty Charalampopoulou , CEO & President, Geosystems Hellas was invited to participate in the “IDEA Industry WGRSS” panel, which focused on women in the industry. The panel included five distinguished women from the remote sensing sector and served as a mentoring session for young researchers. The discussion covered various aspects of their careers, providing insightful ideas and advice for female entrepreneurs. This session underscored the importance of mentorship and the significant contributions of women in the industry.

Another notable aspect of GSH participation was the poster presentation on “THE TRIQUETRA KNOWLEDGE BASE PLATFORM.” This presentation detailed the development of the TRIQUETRA Knowledge Base Platform (KBP), which is a key component of the TRIQUETRA Decision Support System (DSS) Platform. The KBP comprises a database with outputs from an extensive literature review conducted as part of the project and a WebGIS platform that includes all relevant data pertaining to the project’s pilot Cultural Heritage (CH) sites.
