STABLE

The STABLE project develops an IT platform to monitor and forecast risks to Europe’s Cultural Heritage from environmental and seismic hazards. By integrating satellite data, ground monitoring, geotechnical information, and risk models, the project will generate deformation, vulnerability, and damage maps to support structural stability assessments at city and village scale. This harmonized approach will improve early warning and long-term monitoring of monuments, historic buildings, and urban centers exposed to geo-hazards. The platform will be validated through three case studies: Rieti (Italy), Nafplion (Greece), and Strovolos (Cyprus).

Within STABLE, Geosystems Hellas (GSH) is responsible for InSAR data processing to monitor ground and structural displacements in the selected case studies. This includes the full interferometric EO processing chain, producing coherence and velocity maps as core inputs for risk and damage assessment. In addition, GSH leads the design and interface control of the Thematic Platform Software Kit, which integrates all pre-processed data and project results using advanced geospatial tools and methods. A dedicated web portal will support visualization and dissemination, ensuring that both primary and secondary data are accessible and that users can clearly understand the intermediate processing steps and outcomes.
