SPACE 4.0

The Space 4.0 project aims to harness Earth Observation (EO) data, space technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop innovative applications that strengthen environmental crisis management and civil protection. Its key goals include creating advanced systems for atmospheric monitoring and modeling, port security management, and smart agricultural monitoring using UAV and satellite data. By integrating EO analytics with intelligent decision-support tools, the project seeks to enhance safety, sustainability, and resilience in critical sectors such as transport, environment, and agriculture.

Geosystems Hellas (GSH) contributes to the Space 4.0 project by developing AI- and EO-based tools for port security monitoring. Focusing on Ground Station Processes, GSH designs geolocation correction frameworks and 4D detection algorithms using Copernicus Sentinel data to monitor water quality, air pollution, and container activity, supporting an intelligent Decision Support System for safer and more sustainable port operations.

The SPACE 4.0 Project is finished
