PROION

The PROION project is developing a platform for the continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure in earthquake-prone areas. It combines data from in-situ sensors, such as accelerometers and GNSS, with Persistent Scatterer Interferometry, and validates the results through TLS and UAV surveys. By using fuzzy logic networks and machine learning, the platform produces deformation maps and offers an intelligent decision-support tool to help assess both the current condition of infrastructure and its likely future performance.

Geosystems Hellas (GSH) develops and commercializes Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) solutions for the monitoring of critical infrastructure. Within the “Enceladus” supersite, GSH installs radar corner reflectors and uses InSAR data from multiple SAR satellite missions to detect ground and structural changes over time. The results are integrated into a Web-GIS platform, creating a smart decision-support tool that delivers early warning information and helps authorities identify risks before disasters occur.
