HEART
The HEART project aims to improve urban health and reduce health inequalities by integrating Blue-Green Solutions (BGS)—such as green spaces and water-based infrastructure—into urban planning and decision-making. By combining health, environmental, and spatial data from wearable devices, local sensors, and Earth Observation (EO) sources, HEART seeks to develop AI- and ML-enabled tools that assess the health impacts of urban design. The ultimate goal is to create an evidence-based planning framework that helps cities design healthier, more resilient, and sustainable living environments for their citizens.
Geosystems Hellas (GSH) leads the exploitation activities of the HEART project, driving the market uptake of key innovations and coordinating the deployment of project tools. GSH also manages data acquisition, supports dissemination and standardization, and ensures the integration of all technical components within the HEART platform.
