GOLDEN TWINS
The Golden Twins project, funded by ESA’s InCubed programme, develops a multi-mission Earth Observation platform to address the environmental and safety challenges of Greece’s islands. Focusing on forest fires, extreme precipitation, and vessel monitoring, it delivers real-time, AI-driven insights using data from CubeSats, Sentinels, and Copernicus missions. With its open, scalable architecture, the platform supports future satellite missions, enhancing disaster response, maritime safety, and environmental resilience through collaboration between academic and industrial partners.
GeoSystems Hellas S.A. (GSH) leads the coordination and management of all development activities for the GT platform, ensuring alignment of technical and business objectives with project timelines and deliverables. GSH also oversees the Vessel Monitoring service and applies its expertise in Earth Observation, geospatial data, and satellite technologies to coordinate the platform’s design and implementation, ensuring efficient integration of all components. Additionally, GSH is responsible for the marketing and commercialization of the platform and serves as the sole owner of the final product.
