GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS at the Greek Space Tech Forum 2026

GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS S.A. successfully participated as a Premium Corporate Participant in the Greek Space Tech Forum 2026, held on 7–8 July at the Athens Conservatoire and through the LiveOn Expo Complex. The event brought together representatives from government, industry, research institutions and the growing Greek space ecosystem to discuss the next phase of space technology, cooperation and innovation in Greece and Europe.

Throughout the two-day event, visitors had the opportunity to meet the GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS team at Stand B16 and learn more about the company’s activities in Earth Observation, geospatial intelligence, satellite data and advanced space-based solutions. The company presented how space-derived information and geospatial technologies can be transformed into reliable operational intelligence for security, environmental monitoring, civil protection and other demanding applications.

Contributing to the discussion on Greece’s space future

Betty Charalampopoulou, President and CEO of GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS, contributed to two important panel discussions:

  • “20 Years of Greece in ESA – Building the Next Space Decade”
  • “Space, Defence & Strategic Autonomy”

The discussions focused on the lessons learned from Greece’s participation in the European Space Agency, the future development of the national space ecosystem and the strategic role of space technologies in defence, security and European autonomy.

The Forum was organised during a milestone year marking Greece’s 20 years of participation in ESA and the progress of the National Microsatellite Programme. Its agenda highlighted the importance of satellite infrastructure, dual-use technologies, secure communications and international cooperation for the future competitiveness of the Greek space industry.

GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS joins Women in Aerospace Europe

A key highlight of the event was the official recognition of GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS as a Corporate Member of Women in Aerospace Europe — WIA-Europe. Betty Charalampopoulou also participated in the WIA-Europe Meet & Greet activities, supporting dialogue between industry leaders, institutions and the next generation of aerospace professionals.

During the Forum, the GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS team had the opportunity to meet with Dimitris Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence. The discussion focused on the development of the Greek space ecosystem, the role of Earth Observation and geospatial intelligence in addressing operational needs, and the importance of cooperation between public institutions and innovative Greek technology companies.
